There are plenty of music fanatics who'd want to play a pair of old style loudspeakers or maybe a vacuum tube amplifier developed at some point within the fifties when compared to the so-called micro-processor driven, digital sounding elements developed these days. Almost certainly one of the greatest sounding old speaker systems are the Tannoy Berkeleys. Tannoy also created a loudspeaker referred to as the canterbury that has been impressive while well. If you are able to find these at auction I would certainly pick-up a set.

Classic audio systems are wonderful at recreating the complete sound range while testing reasonably flat. Anytime coupled with the correct gear this could provide seperation and location of vocals and musical instruments. It creates the level of audio where if you close your eyes it's tough to determine that your basically listening to a recording.
