There are plenty of music aficionados that would love to listen to a pair of retro speakers or even a vacuum tube amp developed some time in the 1950s versus so-called micro-processor driven, electronic sounding parts made in the present day. Most likely one of the finest sounding old speaker systems would be the Tannoy Berkeleys. Tannoy also made a speaker referred to as canterbury that has been incredible while well. If you can buy these at auction I would certainly certainly purchase a set.

Check out my twitter page for weekly channel updates!. My SN is Chameleon86.I demo the Marantz speakers I found on Craig's List. They are mid range speakers. Marantz is no longer in the speaker making business. They now manufacture high end audio receivers, and other audio accessories. If you see this brand speakers online, or at a garage sale. Pick them up. They sound excellent in any setting. I would not recommend you use them as out door speakers, unless you have them covered well. I am pleased with my purchase. The tweeters will need replacing, but for the price I paid. I will let that small problem go. You can play any type of music, movie,or video game. These things put out some really bad ass sound. Excellent speaker all around. Great mids, high and lows. Once i get the tweeters fixed I will have some very good speakers. There are higher end brands, but these take a piece of the cake for sure. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I will get back to you ASAP.
Old style speakers are great at recreating the total sound span while measuring fairly flat. When paired with the ideal hardware this could produce extraordinary seperation and positioning of vocals and instruments. It produces the kind of audio where by if you close your eyes it's difficult to determine that your actually enjoying a recording.
