There are lots of audio devotees who'd like to listen to a pair of retro loudspeakers or a vacuum tube amp developed at some point in the 50s when compared to the so-called micro-processor driven, electronic sounding components developed these days. Possibly one of the most effective sounding antique loudspeakers would be the Tannoy Berkeleys. Tannoy also launched a speaker called the canterbury which had been astounding just as well. If you are able to find these at auction I would probably definately acquire a set of two.

Apparently this particular combination is Billy Gibbons' favourite, they certainly compliment each other well. I have created this demo over a JamTrackCentral.com backing track that had no guitars and layered it with clean, crunch and high gain guitar parts so you can hear the speakers in isolation as well as combined panned left and right. www.eminence.com

Chris Poland demos new Eminence speakers at NAMM 2010. They are debuting a new speaker that has an Attenuator built into it. Also, for extra comedy effect and shock value, check out the chic that walks by around the 6:20 mark. Yea buddy, that's her own hair!

Collectible speaker systems are superb at reproducing the entire audio spectrum while testing somewhat level. Anytime combined with the proper gear this tends to offer you amazing seperation and location of vocals and instruments. It delivers the level of music in which if you shut your eyes it is not easy to tell that your actually hearing a recording.
