There are various audio fanciers who would prefer to listen to a couple of old speaker systems or even a vacuum tube amplifier constructed sometime inside the 50s in comparison to the so-called micro-processor driven, digital sounding components developed currently. Probably one in the very best sounding vintage loudspeakers would be the Tannoy Berkeleys. Tannoy also produced a loudspeaker called the canterbury that was remarkable while well. If you can buy these at auction I would probably without a doubt grab a pair.

The Tannoy Canterbury sets the standard for the reproduction of lower frequency results, dramatic dynamic spectrum and presence. This flexible speaker is greatest driven by very low energy single-ended PX4/PX25/Type 10/2A3/300B tube amps. These speaker systems sound distinct and transparent. They can be designed in excessive quantities allowing for great price efficiency.

A pair of great sounding British Celestion Ditton 15 speakers from the 1970's. These speakers feature the Celestion passive radiator that works in tandem with the 8" speaker to move air and create good bass response.

Vintage audio speakers are superb at reproducing the entire sound range whilst testing relatively level. Anytime combined with the appropriate hardware this tends to provide you with amazing seperation and placement of vocals and musical instruments. It provides the type of sound where by if you close your eyes it is hard to tell that your truly enjoying a recording.
